About me

I am a trained linguist, with an MA in Historical Linguistics from the University of Uppsala in Sweden, and a PhD in Linguistic Typology and Contact Linguistics from the Max-Planck-Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, Germany and the University of Nijmegen in the Netherlands. I have written, edited and published several books, articles and book chapters. I have managed and supervised research projects of various sizes, ranging from the small and individual to the large scale projects involving several collaborating partners throughout the world. I am highly experienced in working with and analysing sets of data of various sizes, including very large sets. I am also highly experienced in working with spoken material, such as transcribing recordings of speech into a text format.
